Grasshopper is a plugin in Rhino that enables parametric modeling. This means you can build your models through algorithms and change it whenever you want only by changing the inputs. Meanwhile, you can see your model changing in the Rhino window. However, your final product is not just a 3D model, it’s a definition that you can apply in many cases by only changing the parameters.
Grasshopper is almost like programming. So, in this course, you will learn the basics and logic of it as well as how to think like a programmer. Further, you will be able to model complicated forms and solve problems using different add-ons.
Learning objectives:
Fundamentals of algorithm and programming,
Grasshopper interface and language,
Mathematical fundamentals related to the grasshopper,
Basic understanding of sets and working with sets,
Making simple connections and algorithms,
Making parametric forms,
Customization in grasshopper,
Display settings and simple material defining,
Using some practical add-ons.
